What forms of payment are accepted at Strawberries and Sunshine?
We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and e-transfer. We can also keep a credit card securely on your file.
Do you have a place for kids to play while their parents are being consulted?
While we don’t provide supervision, we are a supportive, family-friendly environment. You can come for your appointments together at the same time, or on your own for some adult time and self-care. For some longer consultations and services, we do suggest coming on your own as “littles” can only handle so much adult conversation. If you have any concerns, please let our staff know and we will do our best to support you.
What forms of health insurance are covered?
Most of our services are covered by extended medical benefits. Please check with your insurance provider to find out your personal coverage as each plan and company differs.
Do you direct bill?
To save you time and make it easier, we do offer direct billing to selected insurance companies. With your policy/contract/plan and member ID numbers, we can bill your benefit plan while you are in for your visit. Because individual plans differ, we cannot guarantee that direct billing will be available for every visit. The insurance portal is designed for clinics to submit claims in real time, but it does not check plan limits, individual policies, etc. It works like a credit card terminal, which collects payments, but cannot check the card balance. If the full amount of your visit is not covered, you will be responsible for the remaining balance.
Are there other kinds of insurance you cover?
We do accept ICBC and Worksafe claims for some services. The Medical Services Plan (MSP) of BC provides partial coverage for some people on premium assistance. For these insurances, we may be able to direct bill for a portion of the fee and you may still be responsible for the difference. Please contact our staff and we can help you figure out the details.
Is there a cancellation policy?
We understand that things happen and being a family is often hectic. All our practitioners are busy, and we often have a waiting list. We ask you to give us one business day’s notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment or a missed appointment fee may be charged.
Do you need a doctor's referral for appointments?
None of our modalities, therapies, and services require a doctor’s referral to book an appointment. Occasionally, an extended insurance plan may require one before covering a service.
Do you see multiple family members at the same time?
We love it when our families come together for their appointments. However, sometimes individual self-care is necessary and needed. We will support you however you need to show up.
Is there parking at the clinic?
We are conveniently located in Shaughnessy Station with lots of parking and nearby amenities. We are on the second floor and are easily accessible by stairs or elevator.
