Clinical reflexology is a type of complementary treatment which aims to relieve stress and tension, improve circulation, and boost the immune processes of the body.
Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the hands and feet corresponding to all organs, glands, and parts of the body. It is the unique method of using fingers and thumbs on these reflex areas to help bring about natural balance to our physical, mental, emotional, and energetic bodies. Much more than a simple foot massage, clinical reflexology is an excellent complementary health therapy that takes the whole person into account.
Though not always called reflexology, the practice of working on the feet in order to improve overall health is not a new concept. It is believed to have originated in ancient Egypt, eventually spreading across the world via the Roman Empire.
Although specific practices may have changed in the two thousand or so years since then, the basic idea is the same: restoring health, wellness, and balance to the body in the least invasive way possible.
These effects include, but aren’t limited to:
The best part about clinical reflexology is that due to it being a non-invasive complementary therapy, which is adapted to each unique individual, it is accessible and recommended for all ages – from babies to the elderly – and for all levels of health concerns.
With all this in mind, you might be wondering what the next step is in achieving holistic wellness through reflexology.
Our clinical reflexology practitioner, Jacqui Lepoureau, embraces a holistic approach when it comes to her services. Every person on the planet has so much about them that is unique, and their personal health is no exception. Jacqui always takes the time to sit down with you first to learn about what has brought you to see her. Asking these questions allows her to get an idea of your history and needs, and helps develop the ideal treatment for you as an individual.
Your appointment is a learning experience, and tuning into your body’s innate wisdom requires a dedicated one-on-one approach. Jacqui offers customized treatments for your specific set of concerns that will not only have you feeling back to yourself – but better than ever.
Jacqui is a firm believer that no part of the healing process should be stressful, high-maintenance, or difficult to manage in any way. There wouldn’t be much point in working towards physical and mental well-being if you left your sessions feeling worse than when you came in.
That’s why your comfort and safety are of utmost importance. Jacqui understands that each of us is different, and that extends to pain tolerance and stress thresholds. Combined with her tailored treatment approach, Jacqui will work with you to learn what your body and mind are comfortable with, and help you to push those limits, without allowing it to become overwhelming.
If you’re ready to take the first steps in achieving holistic wellness in a non-invasive way, reflexology might be the right treatment for you. It’s accessible, deeply relaxing, unintimidating, and effective. If you’re not sure whether reflexology can help with your particular symptoms, we highly recommend booking a complimentary 15-minute consult with Jacqui. You might be surprised at what can be treated with this time-tested method.

I am passionate about supporting my clients achieve balance through the services I offer. I am a life-long learner driven to expand my experience and knowledge of natural healing practices in order to better help my clients reach optimal health and wellness.
My initial interest in healing and growth began with the beautiful combination of Louise Hay, Caroline Myss Counselling and Reiki in the early 1990s. I am no stranger to change and have been fortunate enough to live in some of the most beautiful places in the world, including cities and towns in South Africa, England, France, and now Canada. After searching for my path for a number of years, I eventually trained in the Original Ingham Method ® with Hagar Basis at the renowned International Institute of Reflexology in London, UK. My life was changed!
I have over 15 years of experience in both Reflexology and Usui Reiki, and have worked (in both French and English) with a wide range of clients, ages, and health concerns. My youngest client was just 2-weeks old, and my most senior, 95!
Over time I have added Ayurvedic (Indian) Head Massage and Access Bars ® to my practice, and in 2022 I qualified as a Counsellor, fulfilling a decades-long dream. With more options I am able to help more clients in their quest to reduce pain, anxiety, tension, and stress in their lives, while offering support in the improvement of overall wellness, energy, happiness, and personal motivation. My kind approach and gentle nature help provide my clients with a relaxing, calm, and nurturing experience.
I combine training and intuition in each session and strive to adapt every treatment to my clients’ individual needs.
My motto? #loveiseverything
